Septet
The Septet (2012) for Clarinet, Bassoon, Horn, Violin, Viola, Cello and Contrabass occurs in a pensive, nocturnal setting—a context for inner reflection. It was intended to complement the Beethoven Septet op. 20 and share its unique instrumentation.
The work was commissioned by Mattia Zappa for the Concerti in San Martino, Ronco s/Ascona (Switzerland)
First performance and recording on May 13th in the Chiesa di San Martino, Ronco s/Ascona, Switzerland
